Interview with Mrs. Kelly

Today, I went to speak with Mrs. Kelly and it was really refreshing. As soon as I mentioned my topic she burst out, "Oh my gosh! Yes! That is so interesting!" It really reassured me and made me feel good about my current topic. She even offered on the spot to be my advisor, because she's so interested. She admitted to not knowing much about the topic, but felt that she definitely had enough "zest". I'm not even sure if I completely agree she isn't well versed. She already made several suggestions of things I could look into or people I could talk to. I'm looking forward to talking to child psychologists and and developmental therapists and hearing their input.

From my discussion with her, I think I'm going to narrow down my age group to 0-3 years that I will designate as "early development". She mentioned a really interesting idea of montessori preschools. That's another thing I'd like to do: go into preschools and early development centers and take a peak at the things those children are playing with. Even going into Episcopal's daycare would be interesting.

So she already offered to be my advisor, and I'm really happy with that because I was already thinking that. But Mr. Engholm said she would speak to more people so I think I'll still do that. Mrs. Kelly even suggested some other people, Mrs. Pulliam and Mrs. Kirschner.
