What I want to learn, achieve, & accomplish...

I have already learned so much from honors seminar, but I'm going to save that for our exam.

The main thing I want to learn is how to research critically and at a college-professional level.
In my past, I wouldn't look back and say that I've been a strong researcher so I'm hoping that this process will help strengthen that quality. I also want to do something out of character but that represents my character (if that makes sense).

Obviously for what I want to accomplish is just successfully completing this whole process in general. But I'm most worried about the proposal and later defending my thesis. I'm optimistic that all of that will come with time and the more I research, the easier it will be to talk about my thesis. It scares me sometimes to be that optimistic, but I keep telling myself to take it one step at a time. It's actually comforting that we are taking this all one step at a time. For example, this blog. It gives us some time to think about all the different possibilities and just share our ideas with others.

Whatever my thesis is about, that's what I want to achieve. I know that's really vague, but it's true. For example, Madison's thesis about the plant nurseries, I hope that she can raise enough money and actually implement that program into our school. Even if my thesis doesn't involve creating something like that, I hope that I can share information with people that they can take away with them after the presentation. I see this thesis as an opportunity that is not just for us, but has the potential to teach our classmates so much if they too take their opportunity to listen to us. I hope that doesn't sound too cliche, but I just really wish people would listen to the thesis presentations, because you can learn so much from them!
