Superstitions. Why are some people so caught up in superstitions? Even people who don't believe in a lot of that stuff still find themselves "knocking on wood". Where did these superstitions come from and what effect do they have on us? This is just something I've been questioning, because I wouldn't say I'm a very "wear my lucky underwear" type of person, but I ALWAYS knock on wood out of anxiety, "just in case".
I know! Where did these superstitions come from? Can these superstitions be ultimately bad for society?
